Tru2Life Music

Tru2Life Music has been producing and performing concerts and educational programs designed for mature adults for over a dozen years. The primary venture since 2001 has been “The Chai-light Chorus,” comprised of over thirty-five people, ranging in age from the early 60s to the early 90s. The unique combination of quality repertoire and sincere delivery is a hit with multiple generations. Children, grand children and great-grand children, as well as other family and friends, all are enthusiastically supportive. The CLC has continued to grow from originally 12 members to the current roster of 35, mounting three shows per calendar year touring community centers, houses of worship, and area senior residences. These musical reviews focus on a variety of ethnic music, as well as repertoire from the legacy of Jewish American songbook lyricists and composers. Participation has been open to anyone “over 65 and alive.”

The CLC is committed to fostering positive and respectful relationships among it’s community, providing experiences where all participants are afforded the greatest chance of success, while entertaining and inspiring the Jewish and greater Twin Cities community through their efforts.

Here is a list of our past productions:

Tunes in June, Tunes in June II, Tunes in June III, Just Because It’s June (Rogers & Hammerstein) The Glory of Gershwin, Jest Vinterful, Delightful - Delovely - December, The Broadway Megillah, A Summer Stroll With Cole (Songs of Cole Porter), Berlinter Wonderland, Isadorable (Songs by Irving Berlin), Around the World In An Hour, The Wonderful Wizard of Song (Harold Arlen), The Broadway Bistro, Jewels by Styne (Jule Styne), Loesser and More (Frank Loesser), Satire in Song, Landzmania, and Shtickle Your Fancy

The operating budget has been dependent on private donations from its members. Revenues from public performances and fees for private groups supplement the program. We are applying for 501 (c)(3) status to facilitate and promote charitable contributions to build a larger infrastructure and bring on additional professionals to further enhance our mission.
